VMC
5 continuous axis CNC milling machine
5-axis CNC milling machine with moving column
VMC is a 5-axis CNC milling machine designed to push the limits and perform a wide range of machining operations with just one machine. From individual molds made of very hard and tough material, to mass processing with very high precision.
Rigidity and precision
The movable columncombined with the DualDrive Technology makes the VMC an extremely rigid and precise machine tool, perfect for medium to large machining operations with large capacities.
4 models
These 5-axis CNC milling machines are made in 4 different models that are fully customizable to each customer’s individual needs, including the possibility of pendulum machining.
Customizable X, Y, Z axes
Some examples of configuration of VMC milling machines
This configuration of our VMC 5-axis CNC milling machines offers the ability to machine simple 3-axis workpieces. Thanks to the use of the bulkhead attachment, it is possible to work in pendular mode, increasing productivity and decreasing tooling downtime.
With this configuration, it is possible to machine the workpiece on 5 faces, that is, in one positioning. The rotary table positions parts at different angles for five-sided machining, or provides simultaneous 5-axis motion. Especially suitable for machining large workpieces with minimal pivot loss
With this configuration, small parts can be machined on 5 faces, that is, in one positioning. The tilt rotary table positions parts at different angles for five-sided machining, or provides fast simultaneous 5-axis motion for complex, heavy-duty contouring and machining.
With this configuration, it is possible to machine the workpiece on 5 faces, that is, in one positioning. The use of the 2-axis head combined with an extended worktable allows the machining of very long workpieces.

Rigidity and stability
The fixed base with a strong electro-welded steel structure, combined with the DualDrive Technology system, makes this machine tool particularly suitable to machine tough materials such as steel and titanium.
In order to absorb all the micro-vibrations that reduce precision and tool life, the machine structure has been generously oversized. This is why this 5-axis cnc milling machine weighs about 2 times more, compared to similar machines in the same category.
Thanks to the extremely rigid and stable structure VMC can work with an increased depth of cut, greatly increasing production.
5-axis milling machine with DualDrive technology
Thanks to DualDrive Technology, with rack and pinion and two pinion gears, we can guarantee significantly higher precision, speed and stable acceleration than conventional systems, reaching up to 50 m/min and 4* m/s2.
Compared to a recirculating ball screw, this system always remains very accurate over the years, quieter and not sensitive to wear, reducing downtime and zeroing maintenance expenses**.
Iit reduces power consumption by up to 5 times compared to the linear motor, without producing heat.

Tool magazine always on board
Tool-change dead time greatly affects production during mass works. We have created an exclusive system with an always-on-board tool magazine to minimize it and have as much workpiece-to-tool contact as possible
This allows for a single tooling of the milling machine with the ability to change tools at any RAM position on the X axis in as little as 3 seconds chip-to-chip.
This five-axis machine can be equipped with a laser for on-board tool measurement in the tool changing area (optional).
RAM for electrospindle and motor spindle
RAM for the tilting B-axis
2 types of RAM
The construction of our RAMs allows them to enter vertically inside U-shaped mechanical structures using much shorter tools. This reduces vibration and increases accuracy and depth of cut during milling.
To achieve maximum performance and increase the rigidity of our VMC 5-axis milling machines, we have integrated guides to the end of the RAM. This allows us to increase the length of the Z axis without increasing the height of the machine.
In addition, rigidity and precision are also increased with this system by reducing the distance between the skid and the spindle nose.
